I've been a student, a construction worker, a pesticide technician, a lumberman, a student, a research biologist, a student, a commercial fisherman, a father, a boat builder (wooden), an engineering technician (submarine antennas and periscopes), a rigger, a father, a physical science technician (nuclear), and a physical science instructor (nuclear). What's next? Are there any psychics out there? Let me know.

Instructor Development System training! What A Hoot ! By completing 64 hours of developing a lesson plan, turning it into a Power Point presentation, presenting it three times with critiques and making adjustments/corrections, I am now qualified to teach any topic within the government anywhere in the world. If only all of life could be so easy! Granted, I know the subject I will be teaching very well and have no intention of traveling the world, this training is quite adequate for what I will be doing.....but when at the end they tell you what you are now actually qualified to do for the government, I just have to chuckle.

New Job
I was promoted to an instructor position this week. I no longer "do" I now teach. Interesting. I've always pretty much liked doing my job (nuclear "enforcer") but despised the management. Hopefully instructing rather than enforcing will be agreeable. Well, I can't turn back now so you can bet I will find it agreeable or I'll retire trying.
